FAQ

Q?

I am so excited for the small-group experience! How does placement into a small-group experience work?

A.

We are glad to hear about your excitement! In May, incoming students will fill out the Orientation Registration. With the information from this form, staff will place each student into the trip that is best suited for their interests and their needs. Luckily, regardless of setting, students will be having a similar experience, forming strong bonds among first-years and having strong cross-class and cross-residential college conversations.

Q?

How can I connect with other members of the Class of 2021 before Orientation?

A.

There are a myriad of ways to connect with classmates before arriving on campus. There is a Facebook group created by Undergraduate Admissions specifically for the Class of 2021.  Join the Facebook group for the Class of 2021!

Q?

Where can I learn more about being a first-year at Princeton?

A.

Path to Princeton is an extensive resource that touches on many aspects of life at Princeton, from academics to student groups, from dining halls to campus resources. On the same resource, you will be able to ask questions and engage in conversations with current Princeton students!

Q?

I’m an international student. Is there a different orientation for me? Do I also get to go on the small-group experiential experience?

A.

International students will be invited to attend international student orientation. The Davis International Center will be in touch with each individual with further details. Since this orientation takes place before move-in, international students will participate in all aspects of Orientation, including the small-group experience.

Q?

When will I find out where I will live? Will I have a roommate?

A.

All housing and rooming assignments will be provided to incoming students in late summer. Your assigned residential college can answer all questions specific to your living experience. For further information about living at Princeton, please refer to Path to Princeton, a rich resource for first-years with answers to many commonly asked questions.
