Welcome Fall Athletes!
The Fall Student-Athlete Orientation Experience is a program created for first-year student-athletes who are on a team with a fall competition season. Developed with input from winter and spring sport student-athletes and in coordination with the Department of Athletics, the program provides an opportunity for student-athletes to both fulfill their pre-season obligations and enjoy the benefits of small-group experiences that allow for more intimate, reflective engagement.
Athlete Orientation Leaders facilitate small-groups composed of first-years from different fall sport teams. Conversations and activities within these small-groups are united by a common curriculum that discusses identity and resilience as an athlete and as a student at Princeton.
Athlete Orientation Leaders
Like other small-group experience, the Athlete Orientation Experience is lead by a group of upper-class student leaders. Athlete Orientation Leaders act as peer facilitators during the experience and play a pivotal role in welcoming the incoming class through their programming, facilitating, and mentoring efforts.
Athlete Orientation Leaders are invited to apply for this leadership position by staff in the Athletics Department and teammates. If a student is interested in becoming an Athlete Orientation Leader they may complete a self-nomination application.
